Background
Emma is a third- year PhD student, originally from Ketchum, Idaho, USA.
Emma is an actor and researcher specializing in Shakespeare, classical performance styles and Early Modern English literature. As a recent graduate of the Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in New York City, Emma is currently investigating education, research programming and public outreach with Shakespeare; both as theatre and as literature.
Emma's PhD thesis, entitled 'The State of Shakespeare: Applications in Education, Outreach and Practical Ethics', explores the connection of page and stage, Shakespeare as an element of culture, educational methodologies and ethical implications of practicing & teaching Shakespeare in the twenty-first century.
