Biography

Background

Zhuotong Liu obtained a BSc in Financial Economics from the University of Kent in 2017. After a brief period working in private equity, he completed an MRes in Economics at the University of Bristol in 2019 and a PhD in Economics in 2025, also at Bristol. His PhD research focuses on using numerical modelling to study the sources of socioeconomic inequality in China, with particular attention to migration and health.
