Research summary
I am an Independent Research Fellow and group leader at the Institute of Evolutionary Biology at the University of Edinburgh. We use genomics to understand selection and evolution in wild and domesticated populations. We answer questions on the evolution of sexually-selected traits, immune responses, and meiotic recombination rates in various vertebrates, including sheep, deer, salmonid fish and passerine birds.
