Background

I graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2010 and completed further postgraduate training.  I completed my PhD at the University of Southampton in the Bone and Joint Research Group, supervised by Professor Richard Oreffo and Dr Janos Kanczler.  I began my equine surgery residency with a view to continuing in clinical surgical work, research and teaching.

Research summary

My research interests include biomaterials and regenerative medicine for musculoskeletal tissue repair and the pathogenesis of equine sarcoids.

Current research interests

Current projects include examining the transcriptomic data from equine sarcoids to elucidate pathogenesis and possible future treatment options.

Past research interests

My previous research was within the UKRMP II project, while employed at the University of Southampton.
