Background

I am a geologist and I've lived in Edinburgh for most of my adult life. I specialise in outdoor education at all levels, exploring the landscapes and geology of Scotland and helping people to understand the landscape, how it has formed and how land and resources have influenced people in the past and present. In addition to my work with the university, I run my own business Geowalks, and I'm involved in the work of the Scottish Geology Trust and the Edinburgh Geological Society.

Within the Centre of Open Learning, I'm Course Collection Coordinator forĀ Science, Technology, Engineering and MathematicsĀ (STEM).
