Background

David Haslam is a practising Artist based in Edinburgh who works in Sculpture, Installation, Performance and Artist Books. 

Undergraduate teaching

I currently teach 2 Lifelong Learning courses and am a visiting tutor on various other short courses, in Art & Design, at the Centre for Open Learning. 

Research summary

My work studies the relationship between perception/experience and knowledge.

I am also particularly interested in artworks which are encountered outside of conventional art contexts, artworks which do not present themselves as artworks and objects or situations which are not artworks, but which may affect us in the same way as an artwork does.
