Research summary

Daisy Andoh is a PhD candidate from the University of Edinburgh, researching Messianism and trauma in the book of Revelation. Her work focuses on the impact of imperial rule on apocalyptic narratives and utilises trauma theory to explore how John’s construction of Jesus as Messiah functions as a mechanism of survival for the early Jesus movement living under empire.
