Background

Cristina graduated from the University of Milan in 2016. Following a year in a busy emergency practice, she moved to the UK to attend a rotating internship at Eastcott referral. She trained as a specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia at the Royal Veterinary College and after obtaining her diploma in the American College of Anesthesia and Analgesia, she worked as a Lecturer at the Royal Veterinary College until Summer 2024, when she moved to the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh as Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. 

Recently, Cristina obtained a Post-graduate certificate in veterinary education and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Cristina is interested in all aspect of anaesthesia, especially pain management and locoregional anaesthesia. Cristina is a trained veterinary acupuncturist.
