Thesis title: Teaching English and the reproduction of inequality: A critical inquiry into language, power, and education in Chile
Background
My research examines the intersection of neoliberalism, social inequality, and EFL in Chile. Using Critical Realism and Critical Discourse Analysis, I will be exploring how language education can challenge or reproduce structural disadvantages. By conducting fieldwork in a semi-rural setting, I aim to amplify the voices of marginalised individuals in educational discourse.
