Anne Robertson

Director of EDINA

Background

Anne is an accomplished leader in digital innovation and business transformation, currently serving as Director of EDINA within the universities’ Information Services Group.  She brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning, organisational leadership, and the management of sustainable cloud services. With a proven track record of delivering substantial growth in complex academic and technological environments, Anne excels in aligning service delivery with institutional strategic goals.

Anne’s career began in Western Australia, where she worked extensively in geographical information systems (GIS) in private and government sectors. Her extensive understanding of geospatial data and project management laid the groundwork for a move to Edinburgh, where she has since carved a niche in the higher education sector.  Anne holds a Master of Science in Geographical Information Systems from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Geography from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

Anne’s leadership is defined by her commitment to innovation, stakeholder engagement, and a forward-thinking approach to educational technology solutions evidenced by the ongoing 25 year success of EDINA’s flagship Digimap service and EDINA's new to market ELM, the only GenAI innovation platform developed within a higher education institution for the education sector.
