Background
I joined the department in September 2012 as a Chancellor's Fellow, and I have been a senior lecturer since August 2018. Previously I was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Northern Institute of Philosophy at the University of Aberdeen. I did my PhD at the University of Texas at Austin, where I was supervised by Mark Sainsbury, and my undergraduate and masters at the University of St Andrews.

Undergraduate teaching
I teach the 4th year courses 'Knowledge, Ignorance, and Power' (Fall semester) and 'Objectification, Dehumanisation, and Othering' (Spring semester), as well as the knowledge portion of the 2nd year course 'Knowledge and Reality'.
In previous years I have taught 'Philosophy of Fiction', and co-taught 'Feminism', 'History of Analytic Philosophy', 'Themes in Epistemology', 'Scepticism', 'An Introduction to Philosophical Methodology', and 'Mind, Matter, and Language'.

I work mostly on issues in epistemology, particularly where it intersects with other areas such as the philosophies of language and mind and social and feminist philosophy.
