Background
Kyla studied Pharmacology at the University of Dundee (BSc (Hons)) before moving to The University of Edinburgh for her PhD in September 2025. Her project focusses on understanding whether maternal diabetes leads to aberrations in fetal adrenal development and if these changes contribute to adverse perinatal outcomes. She is supervised by Dr. Caroline Ovadia and Dr. Lisa Story, and funded by the Albert McKern PhD studentship programme.
