Background
Dr Jillian Manner is a public health and workplace wellbeing researcher at the University of Edinburgh. She is based at the Scottish Collaboration for Public Health Research and Policy (SCPHRP) and the Physical Activity for Health Research Centre (PAHRC).
Jillian completed her PhD at the University of Edinburgh, which involved working with organisations to apply a 6-step evidence-based approach to help leaders strengthen workplace culture and improve wellbeing and productivity.

Project activity
Jillian is currently a Research Fellow on the PHIRST Elevate Team, based across the Physical Activity for Health Research Centre (PAHRC) and the Scottish Collaboration for Public Health Research and Policy (SCPHRP). Funded by NIHR, PHIRST Elevate works with local government organisations across the UK to co-produce evaluations of public health interventions addressing a range of public health priorities.
Jillian also takes part in various other research, teaching and consultancy activities as a member of SCPHRP and PAHRC.
