Responsibilities & affiliations
I am interested in new and innovative uses of data, information and intelligence to support students, staff and business areas.
I am curious by nature and greatly enjoy collaborating, supporting and learning from colleagues in very different areas. I enjoy exploring new tools and technology, pockets of innovation and sources of intelligence to assess what they could deliver for our University, and connecting these up. I also have an interest in data-informed policy development and ethical data use.
I am currently on secondment to Strategic Change looking at supporting and recommending priorities for cross-University activity on data and information/reporting for research support to deliver best outcomes longer term for the University, in line with the Digital Strategy.
I am a University of Edinburgh IfA graduate in astronomy. Data wrangling and analysis remains much the same whether counting stars, galaxies, staff or students.
