Background
As Head of Communications, Marketing and Engagement for the Usher Institute I have overall responsibility for both internal and external communications and engagement.
I have undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, both from The University of Edinburgh, in neuroscience and human cognitive neuropsychology respectively as well as previous experience working as a document composition specialist for Xerox Global Service/Scottish Widows, and others in the UK and overseas. I worked briefly as a research fellow before combining my academic and corporate experience focusing for over a decade now on communications and engagement in academia.
I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.
