New Director of Planning

The University has appointed Tracey Slaven, Deputy Director for Higher Education and Learner Support at the Scottish Government, as Director of Planning.

Ms Slaven will take up the position in early May.

Strong background

Ms Slaven has worked with the Scottish Government since 2005, where she has been involved in roles in higher education and third sector policy.

She was Chief Executive of the Student Awards Agency from 2009 to 2011.

Ms Slaven has a strong background in leading collaborative programmes and in corporate and strategic planning within both the private and public sectors.

She has a degree in Economics from the University of Strathclyde and an MBA from the University of Durham.
