Background
Former educator; current doctoral researcher. After a decade as a secondary school educator in the United States, I returned to university where I completed two postgraduate programmes in Celtic and secured a scholarship via the Scottish Graduate School of Arts and Humanities Doctoral Training Partnership, funded by the AHRC. I have experience as a tutor and undergraduate lecturer in Old and Middle Irish and as a course coordinator in Adult Continuing Education at University College Cork (2023-5). During my PhD programme in Edinburgh (2026-9), I am additionally undertaking an internship with the National Library of Scotland (2026/8). I am an active member of the Association of Celtic Students and serve as an editor for their annual conference proceedings.

Research summary
My interests lie primarily in medieval Irish/Gaelic literature, its reception, and in the phenomena of medievalism, revivalism, and adaptation. I am also interested in medieval Irish/Gaelic language and translation, early Irish law, and Irish-Scottish relations (especially in terms of literary/artistic production from the medieval period to the present).
