Background
Sofia is a first-year PhD student at Edinburgh Law School, specializing in comparative private law. Her passion for private law was sparked during her undergraduate studies at the National Law University "Yaroslav Mudryi" in Kharkiv, Ukraine, where she graduated with distinction in 2022, earning an LLB.
After gaining some practical experience in law firms in Ukraine and Germany, Sofia joined Edinburgh Law School in September 2023 to pursue the LLM in European and Comparative Private Law. She successfully completed the program in November 2024, graduating with merit. Sofia is now furthering her commitment to advancing private law scholarship on her PhD.
