Background
-
After graduating with a degree in forensic sciences, Andrew spent four years working for a biomedical contract research organisation before joining the EdinOmics core facility as a research technician in 2024. His typical work involves running metabolomics samples on EdinOmics' liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry systems, as well as the Agilent Seahorse cell metabolic analyser. In addition, he has helped streamline the facility's automated workflow using the Agilent Bravo liquid handling robot, and has worked on developing a workflow for the Agilent Seahorse instrument. He is currently working on interfacing an AP/MALDI source with a dtIM-qTOF Mass Spectrometer and developing a protocol for running samples using this system.
