Availability

  • -Where possible you should use hca-sso@ed.ac.uk to get in contact as this inbox is staffed Monday-Friday during office hours. I will aim to respond to you as quickly as possible within my working hours. I work Monday-Thursday between 0800-1715.
    -My office days are Tuesday and Thursday and I work from home Monday and Wednesday.
    -There is no expectation to reply to this email outside your normal working hours.
    -Our office is open 10:00-12:30 and 14:00-16:00, Monday-Friday
    -You can book an online or in-person meeting with me using my booking system. If there are no suitable times available, please email me at hca-sso@ed.ac.uk to arrange a meeting.
    -Staff across the School are working both on-campus and remotely. Please contact us by email in the first instance.

Job Description

Sam is a Student Advisor within HCA. The Student Support team is here for all our undergraduate students.

Key Duties

They have a range of responsibilities, which include:

  • supporting students whose studies are affected by illness or other circumstances
  • signposting the large range of more specialist university services
  • keeping students informed on vital information they need to know and also on events and opportunities that they may be interested in
  • providing information and answering questions about programme requirements.
