Background
Suzanne graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 2006 following which she undertook a 12 month internship position at Arundel (now Sussex) Equine Hospital where she focused on anaesethesia, nuclear scintigraphy and all aspects of in patient care. On completion of this position she stayed on as an ambulatory assistant for a further 10 years working in all aspects of general equine practice as well as routine racework, working as a duty vet surgeon at local racetracks and looking after the medicine and neonatal foal cases within the hospital. In 2017 she returned to ambulatory practice in Stirling, Scotland before joining the Dick Vet Equine Team in May 2023. She obtained her certificate in Advanced Equine Practice (Equine Internal Medicine) in 2013 followed by her Advanced Practitioner Status in 2015 which was renewed in both 2020 and 2025. She is also an examiner for the Advanced Practitioner Status for RCVS. In 2025 Suzanne achieved her postgraduate certificate in academic practice from The University of Edinburgh and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She equally enjoys her clinical and teaching roles within the University.
