Kendall A. Davis is a PhD student in New Testament and Christian Origins working under the supervision of Matthew Novenson. He is a graduate of Concordia University Irvine (BA) and Concordia Seminary (MDiv, STM). His dissertation focuses on messianism and Christology in Luke and Acts, examining the uses of the term "christos" and its cognates in the Lukan corpus. He is a candidate for ordination in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Research summary
My current research focuses especially on Christology in the synoptic Gospels. Other interests include literary and theological readings of scripture, linguistics in biblical studies, hermeneutics, biblical theology, and patristic readings of scripture. My overarching interests focus on the reading of scripture in ecclesiastical settings and the conversation between theology and scripture.
