Events taking place to mark LGBT+ History Month

The University’s Staff Pride Network and Edinburgh University Students’ Association are running a series of events during February to mark LGBT+ History Month.

LGBT+ History Month is a chance to celebrate, reflect on and learn about LGBT+ community milestones and influential figures, past and present.

This year’s theme is ‘Behind the lens’, with several events celebrating LGBT+ peoples’ contribution to cinema and film. Other highlights include creative workshops, a panel session on barriers to education and a guest lecture from Professor Zoë Playdon of the University of London.

University schools and departments and the Students’ Association are also organising a range of events open to both staff and students. You can find out more and view the calendar of events on the network’s blog or the Students’ Association website.
