Biography

Background

Dom has a background in chemistry – with a particular focus on nanotechnology. He completed a PhD under supervision of Prof Scott Cockroft at the University of Edinburgh. During this time, Dom became heavily involved in public engagement at the School of Chemistry. He was awarded a scholarship to dedicate more of his time towards engagement endeavor. 

Dom is now based at the Edinburgh BioQuarter, where he delivers on the community engagement strategy. Notable programmes include; 

  • Science Mentors 
  • BioQuarter Summer Internships 
  • HPV and vaccination workshops
