Background
I am a Teaching Fellow in English for Academic Purposes at English Language Education (ELE), University of Edinburgh. Since joining the University in 2008, I have undertaken various roles and responsibilities, and I currently coordinate, organise and teach in-sessional PhD courses and pre-sessional courses.
Before my tenure at the University of Edinburgh, I worked internationally as an English language teacher, teacher trainer, and ICT Coordinator in counties such as English, Hungary, Czechia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Tunisia.

I teach English for Academic Purposes across all three Colleges.
I serve as Academic Language and Literacies for In-Sessional Study (ALLIS) Research Coordinator, with oversight of the academic content and student experience on all in-sessional provision for research postgraduates.
I also organise the following courses:

- Study Skills and Reflection – Postgraduate Pre-sessional English Programme (Semester 1)

Research summary
My doctoral thesis (Polis-ing English for academic purposes: thinking with Hannah Arendt about education and politics) focused on the connections between Hannah Arendt's political and educational work within the realm of EAP.
Current research interests
My current interests encompass educational, political, and ethical theories, with a current focus on the work of Alasdair MacIntyre, as well as digital technologies and their impact on education.Knowledge exchange
