Background
Currently, I am a research fellow in the Roslin Institute, working with optimal cross selection in plant breeding and genomic analysis in insect breeding program.
During my undergraduate and master, I worked with molecular genetics focusing on identification of QTL for disease resistance in common bean. In my PhD, I studied statistical models in genomic selection considering allele dosage for autotetraploid species, with applications in Panicum maximum. In my postdoc, I worked with genetic and QTL mapping for metabolite and agronomic traits in sugarcane. I also had collaborated in several other studies, such as associative mapping in bean, linkage and QTL mapping in Urochloa decumbens and U. humidicola.
Research summary
I have concentrated my studies in Quantitative Genetics, Computing for Statistical Genetics (specially in R software), and Mixed Models. My research interests comprise Bioinformatics, Genomic Selection, Bayesian Models, Machine and Deep Learning.
